Canadian freight forwarders name BA World Cargo 'Carrier of the Year' (08/06/2006)

BA World Cargo has been named 'Carrier of the Year' for the second consecutive year at the annual Canadian International Freighting Forwarders Association (CIFFA) Awards. BA World Cargo also received 'Carrier of Choice to Africa' and 'Carrier of Choice in the Middle East'.

Accepting the awards at a gala dinner attended by over 600 freight forwarders, Brian Russell, BA World Cargo's Canadian GSA, said: "These awards recognise BA World Cargo's hard-work and commitment to customers across our global network."

Baba Devani, vice president sales and international customer service, said: "Winning these awards is a testament to the dedication and professionalism of BA World Cargo staff and I would like to thank all of those that have played a part in achieving this fantastic recognition."

Nominated for more awards than any other carrier, BA World Cargo was also short-listed for 'Carrier of Choice' awards to South West Pacific, Europe and the Mediterranean.

Headquartered in Toronto, CIFFA was established over 60 years ago and now represents approximately 200 members. The annual CIFFA Awards recognise outstanding service within the freight forwarding industry.
