House Air Waybill data submission charges for India (Delhi), effective 13 July 2006 (28/06/2006)

Following the announcement from Indian Customs to file import manifests prior to aircraft arrival, British Airways World Cargo will make the following house air waybill data submission charges for Delhi-bound shipments, with effect from Thursday, 13 July 2006 (based on the air waybill execution date).

Electronic data exchange (EDI)
All house air waybill (HAWB) data submitted to BA World Cargo by EDI will be charged at GBP1.25 / EURO2.00 / USD2.50 per HAWB.

Documentation (Air Waybill/House Air Waybill) for BA World Cargo to enter the data directly into the Indian Customs reporting system
All HAWB data that must be manually input by BA World Cargo will be charged at GBP5.50 / EURO8.00 / USD10.00 per HAWB.

Direct data transmission to India (Delhi) by forwarder
No charge will be incurred if a prior agreement has been made with BA World Cargo. In this case, it is still necessary for all HAWB data to be submitted to BA World Cargo by EDI.

Rules for application of HAWB Data Submission (HDS) charge

  1. The HDS charge shall apply to all consolidations for which final destination is Delhi/India.
  2. The HDS charge shall be in addition to all other applicable charges and shall accrue to the issuing carrier.
  3. The HDS charge may be prepaid or charges collect, but must be in the same mode as other charges, ie all wholly prepaid or all wholly charges collect.
  4. The HDS shall be inserted separately on the air waybill in the 'other charges box' (box 23 as per IATA Rules 6.2 - Completion of Air Waybill) and designated by the code CCC in case of manual transmission and CGC in case of automatic transmission.
  5. Air waybills received without the HDS charge shown shall have the charge added by British Airways.
