Commercial manager Spain and Portugal appointed (18/06/2007)

British Airways World Cargo has announced the appointment of Paulo Quelhas to the position of commercial manager Spain and Portugal, with immediate effect.

Reporting to Camilo Garcia, area commercial manager for southern Europe, Paulo will play a key role in developing the shorthaul freight programme in the area and consolidating the Iberian peninsula business for BA World Cargo.

Quelhas joined BA World Cargo in 1994 becoming commercial manager for Portugal in 1999, with a brief secondment as business manager Europe in 2006. Quelhas comments: "I am looking forward to this challenging role and, moving forward, I am keen to consolidate and grow our products in the area."

Garcia adds: "I am delighted Paulo will be heading up our commercial activity in the region. He brings strong management experience to the team and I am confident he will contribute to the further growth of our presence in Spain and Portugal."
