New all-inclusive Express tariff for all UK traffic. (22/01/2002)
From Monday 11 February 2002, British Airways World Cargo will operate a new all-inclusive express tariff for all UK traffic (exports and domestic).
The new pricing structure is being introduced to simplify the business for its account customers. The previous structure meant a large number of add-ons had to be to calculated when quoting the Express product. This could result in a lack of clarity for customers, but the new all-inclusive express tariff will include all export add-ons (excluding local import charges), meaning the rate-per-kilo quoted is the price paid.
Keith Packer, Senior Vice President Global Sales and Marketing said: "We have a high quality, reliable express product. By simplifying our pricing in this way, we are making the product even easier to use. At this stage, the tariff is applicable only for goods leaving from UK stations, although we hope to offer a simplified pricing structure for other regions in the longer term."
The all-inclusive express tariff does not represent an increase in rates.
