New appointment for BAWC in the US (04/02/2004)

Warren Tempest has been appointed as the new Commercial Vice President, Americas for British Airways World Cargo following the recent departure of Ian Barrigan to the airline's Middle East, South Asia and Australasia Region.

Currently based in London as a Global Key Account Manager, Warren has played an important role in building relationships with the airline's top customers. He has also gained experience in the commercial, sales management and operational roles including a period in Frankfurt as Commercial Manager Northern Europe.

Robert Kujala, Senior Vice President, Americas, said: "We are looking forward to welcoming Warren to his new position in New York. This is a key role for the airline and I know that the addition of Warren to the team will enable us to continue to strengthen the business in the region.

The change will take effect from 1st March 2004.
