New General Sales Agent appointed for Finland (15/09/2005)

British Airways World Cargo has appointed Airline Services GSA Ltd, based in Vantaa, as the BA World Cargo general sales agency (GSA) for Finland. The move boosts BA World Cargo's operations in Finland, where the carrier already has an established presence both on and off-line. The appointment is effective from 1 September 2005.

BA World Cargo serves Finland with 14 weekly line flights which transport goods into London Heathrow. BA World Cargo also offers a trucking service which feeds into the main BA network and BA World Cargo freighter schedule in Germany.

John Cheetham, area commercial manager for North West Europe, said; "Finland is a key region in the Nordic countries and one that provides significant opportunity for development and expansion. The appointment of Airline Services GSA Ltd is a major boost for our operations in the Nordic region.
