Fuel surcharge decrease to level 9 (25/01/2007)
British Airways World Cargo today announced a decrease to its fuel surcharge. The surcharge will be GBP0.30/kg / USD0.45/kg / EUR0.45/kg, with effect from 8 February 2007.
The fuel surcharge decrease follows a second consecutive week that the fuel index has been below the level 10 threshold. The index was developed by British Airways World Cargo to provide customers with more information about the calculation of fuel surcharges. It is updated on a weekly basis and posted on the British Airways World Cargo website.
Chris Bosworth, general manager commercial development said: "Although fuel prices are still high, we have seen a decline over the last two weeks and this has triggered a decrease in our fuel surcharge. This
decrease follows two reductions in the surcharge in October last year."
