Commercial Manager Hong Kong, Taiwan and the Philippines appointed (08/08/2007)

British Airways World Cargo has announced the appointment of Gurmeet Kalra to the position of commercial manager Hong Kong, Taiwan and the Philippines with immediate effect.

Reporting to Chris Chan, regional commercial manager for Asia Pacific, Kalra will be responsible for all sales, distribution and marketing activities in the area.

Kalra joined BA World Cargo in 1992 and has worked in a variety of passenger and cargo positions in India and the UAE, including senior customer service executive and passenger traffic executive at Abu Dhabi airport.

Moving from her current role as commercial manager central India in Mumbai, Kalra comments: "I am delighted with the new challenge and looking forward to the opportunity to use my experience in this dynamic region."

Chris Chan adds: "This appointment recognises the wealth of commercial experience and skills Gurmeet has gained in her time at BA World Cargo. I am confident she will add value to our existing customer relationships and will exploit new business opportunities across the area."
